This is the main event at Mojiko during the Golden Week holidays.
On the 3rd, a parade of Genji and Heike clan warriors winds through the retro streets, and on the 4th fireworks light up the night sky for the finale.
Live performances include music and dances from great artists, and the historically significant “banana auction” and the yosakoi dance bring excitement to Mojiko during Golden Week.
On the opposite coast in Shimonoseki, too, the Strait Festival is held and crowds are drawn by various events such as the Sentei (former emperor) Festival featuring brilliant noblewomen and court ladies, and the Genji and Heishi Warrior Parade.
